We sometimes get sponsored to write a series of posts on a particular them. When we do the sponsor has no editorial input, guidance or approval of what we write.
Affiliates
If we are an affiliate then we will generally say so and give full disclosure. If its a small link in text we may not bother, but for a review of, or a full article about a product or service we will always do so.
Advertorials
We won’t try and pass these off as unbiased – we’ll mark it clearly as Advertorial
