These are questions that people ask us a lot…
What is a Triathlon Race Guide
It’s your secret weapon to improve your race performance with no added training. It gives you a detailed description and analysis of the course; analysis of the race results and your competitors and a race plan to make sure that you keep your ego and emotions in check on race day. All this contributes to making sure that you racer smarter and faster
How do You make Money?
We run adverts and sell really amazing triathlon race guides. Triathletes like these a lot because they are stuffed full of information that they can’t get anywhere else. You can buy some here
Can I work for BeyondTransition?
Yes you can volunteer to help run our race microsites or be a blog editor. These are unpaid but you do get some nice goodies. In the future we’ll be hiring more full time staff and volunteers will be the first people we talk to
Do you go to any triathlons?
Usually you’ll find the person who writes the race microsite at the race – you can spot them wearing a BeyondTransition trisuit. Most of us have pretty busy racing schedules and usually do a long course or several middle distance triathlons each year
I heard about your twitter coverage…..
Yep – we do some amazing twitter coverage for some triathlons. This is age group focused coverage to the same standard that the pros receive. It does depend on our schedule though.
How do decide whether to cover a triathlon?
That’s a difficult one – at its simplest it’s whether we’ve heard of the race. If we haven’t it means it’s probably not large enough or famous enough to justify the amount of time that a race guide takes to prepare. We don’t tend to cover triathlons in their first year either.
How many race guides are you going to write?
We have a dream of doing a race guide for every triathlon in the world. We’re not sure if it’s practical yet but haven’t yet seen any reasons why not.
I have a great idea!
Cool. Unfortunately great ideas often require a lot of hard work to put them into practice. That said we’re not grumpy old men so send us it through via our contact form and if we’re wrong we’ll send you a BeyondTransition T-Shirt
I’d like some support at my next race….
Dude, you got it. Just fill out our Cheer me on form and we’ll do it! (just via twitter at the moment)
How do I tell you you’ve made a mistake?
Again! We try very hard but sometimes they slip through. Let us know using this form
Will you sponsor me?
We sponsor some of our volunteers who contribute great content to BeyondTransition. We’re a small business so the pot isn’t bottomless. Unlike other companies we’re not looking for the fastest or best triathletes. We’re looking for guys and girls who have boundless passion for the sport and want to share it. You’ll be great at communicating and you’ll have a blog and be active on Twitter/Facebook
I’m short, fat and slow. I’m a terrible triathlete. Do you care about me?
Every triathlete is a hero, and you are no different. Most of us didn’t start out from much of a different place to you (except maybe the short) but with hard work, perseverance and years of experience we have made huge changes in ourselves and our lives. So yes you are one of us and this whole site is dedicated to making sure that you race as well as you can possibly race.
