Bike Course

The Ironman Melbourne bike leg takes place mostly on the EastLink Tollway. It’s a two-lap out and back that takes you out of Frankston on a fast course towards the turnaround at the Springvale Road Exit at Donvale and back. While it may look like its flat, it’s not. Swim Course

The Ironman Melbourne swim takes place in the cool calm waters of the Port Phillip Bay at the Frankston Foreshore on an L-shaped course. The start is on the North side of the Frankston Pier. The swim is a deep water start about 50m from the beach and the pier. Once the gun goes off you swim north towards the yellow buoys for just over a kilometre.
